Middle School Bands

Students start band in the seventh grade in the Jefferson City District at either the Lewis & Clark Middle School or the Thomas Jefferson Middle School. The first public performance for these bands is the Ice Cream Social in June at the high school. The seventh grade bands and the eighth grade bands practice together and perform together for this event. There is a Christmas concert for each school in December. They also participate in the Band Spectacular in February at the high school.

Beginning in school year 2008-2009 there will also be a sixth grade band at each middle school.
