Band Banquet Update
The Annual Jay Band Banquet will be held on Friday, May 11th at the Truman Hotel. Tickets are $15.00 per person and parents are welcome to attend. You may send your check to school with your student to give to Kamry Volkmer and she’ll send the tickets home. Tickets will also be available this Thursday evening at the Spring Capitol Concert.
If you have a graduating senior, please remember to send a baby picture and a senior picture in for the senior slide show. Those photos may be e-mailed to jaybandslideshow@gmail.com.

Red Camaro Money and Tickets ~ You may send to school on WEDNESDAY ONLY!
I have had quite a few inquiries from people that can’t be at tonight’s meeting but would like to turn-in their Red Camaro raffle money and ticket stubs. You can send your money and stubs to school tomorrow only and have your student give them to Mr. Eubanks. I am volunteering at the high school tomorrow and will be able to get them from him.
WEDNESDAY morning only ~ you can turn in your tickets and money to Mr. Eubanks.

Red Camaro Raffle ~ Final Countdown!
The Red Camaro raffle is in it’s final THREE days of ticket sales. As it stands right now, we will be drawing from a pool of less than 2000 tickets. Increase your chance of winning by purchasing multiple tickets or help others by selling them more tickets!
Ticket stubs, money and any unsold tickets can be turned in tonight at the booster meeting. This will be the LAST scheduled turn-in event. Please make every effort to turn in your tickets and money tonight! They will have a table set-up outside the door of the meeting room in Nicholas Career Center.
Jay Band Boosters Monthly Meeting ~ TONIGHT! ~ Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 ~ 7:00 p.m. in the Room 152 of Nicholas Career Center!
The May meeting of the Jay Band Boosters will be held next Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. but will NOT be in the high school cafeteria. Orchestra has a big concert that evening and it’s just too difficult to share the space AND hear what is going on in the meeting. We will meet across the street in the Nicholas Career Center in the Driver’s Ed room or room 152. When you enter the main doors, head straight down the hall and 152 will be on your left.
Spring Capitol Concert ~ Thursday, May 3rd, 2012
The annual spring concert will be this Thursday night, May 3rd, at the Missouri State Capitol Rotunda. Report time for the students is 6:40 p.m. unless they have been told differently by their director. Remember, come early. We will be drawing for the winner of the Red Camaro at 6:00 p.m. outside on the south side of the Capitol.

I have also attached a copy of the Jay Band Calendar that covers 1st semester 2012. Please note that the schedule is subject to change at the director’s discretion. 2012 T-shirt design contest ~ Red Camaro Raffle ~ Monthly Booster Meeting
Are you creative and artistic?? If so, submit a design for the 2012 Marching Competition t-shirt!
Students were given information about the contest to design the 2012 competition show t-shirt. The show theme will be Avatar. Attached, please find a copy of what was handed out to the band students. All designs are due by Monday, April 30th, 2012.

Ticket stubs and money or any unsold tickets can be turned in at any of these events. They may also be turned in on Tuesday, May 1st at the monthly booster meeting.

Two short weeks from tonight, we’ll know the winner of the Red Camaro.
Will it be you? It could be if you’ve purchased a ticket!
If not, you are guaranteed to be left standing at the Missouri State Capitol as someone else drives off in the car of your dreams.

Band Banquet Info and Tickets ~ Slide Show needs more photos!
A tradition in the Jay Band program is the annual Band Banquet. This year’s banquet will be held on Friday, May 11th, 2012 at the Truman Hotel in Jefferson City. Tickets are $15.00 and may be purchased from the Jay Band President, Kamry Volkmer. If you would like tickets for your student and/or family, please send a check with your student to class for Kamry. The checks should be made payable to Jay Band. Tickets will be sent home with your student UNLESS you specify otherwise.
A highlight at the banquet (besides the DJ and dancing!) is the slide show recapping the school year. If you have any photos that can be include, please e-mail them to jaybandslideshow@gmail.com as soon as possible.
